1st Peter

Overview

This letter was addressed to Christians throughout Asia Minor. It shows that it is the Christian’s response to persecution that decides whether spiritual growth or stunting bitterness results. We are to imitate Christ’s example in humility and submission - wives to husbands; servants to masters; husbands to wives; Christian to Christian.

Peter deals with the sensitive subjects of suffering and judgement exhorting the Christian to be faithful, giving Glory to God and continue in love for each other.
